As the summer comes to an end, this blogger will be away on vacation.
I will schedule some posts to run while I am disconnecting and clearing my mind.
Of course, I will be reading some wonderful books that are all loaded and ready to go on my tablet.
I will have some exciting reviews when I get back.
Read, dine, drink wine, relax and be kind.
I love to try different wines. I don’t worry about names or prices. You see, I have found that drinking wine and enjoying wine is a very personal experience. I do enjoy getting and giving wine recommendations.
Today’s wine was a gift from my mother. She didn’t give it to me. She heard about it from a friend and went out and bought it. She gave it to my husband who doesn’t enjoy wine as much as I do. He has a glass and I have well…you know, a few.
My thoughts on this wine: Delicious. Medium bodied with a crisp finish. Fruity, with subtle hints of peach, apple and spice.
I paired it with tilapia and roasted vegetables and it was delicious.
If you are looking for a delicious Spanish wine, I recommend this tasty Albariño.

I always celebrate my Mother’s Day with a family brunch. Every year, I look for new dishes and wines for my guests to enjoy.
I recently discovered this very delicious Dolcevita Moscato D’Asti dei sensi while shopping at The Fresh Market. It is my new favorite Moscato.
This sparkling moscato is sweet, light, fruity and refreshing. I think it will be perfect for a brunch.
I loved it so much, I had to recommend it!
Check it out and enjoy!
Here are some of the delicious wines I had while in Spain. I wanted to share them. I know several of my followers love wine.
All I can say, I recommend them all. #winelover
I am all about trying new wines. I love it when I receive a bottle of wine as a gift. This past Christmas, I received several bottles of wine. While some were my usual favorites, I did get some new and interesting varieties.
Root:1 Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 was one of those new never tasted before wines.
I finally got around to that bottle and truly enjoyed it.
This wine was quite fabulous. Pour this dark ruby red into your wine glass and enjoy the perfect blend of flavors. Your taste buds will be rewarded with hints of raspberry, oak, chocolate and spices. It was easy to pick out some of these distinctive flavors. The wine was delicious and perfectly balanced. This wine was smooth, full bodied and savory. For me, it paired well with a nice steak.
Since I enjoyed this wine, I looked for it locally and was surprised that this delicious wine was also inexpensive.
If you are looking for a nice cab to go with your dinner tonight, check this Chilean wine out for yourself.
I recently visited a wine shop here in Miami. While I was overwhelmed with the choices of wines, I was on a mission for one particular wine. ~Rose
I had just finished reading and reviewing A Sip of You (Book 2 in the Epicurean Series) by Sorcha Grace. Her 5 star story inspired me to try new rose wines.
I bought three wines to sample.
The first wine is from France. Domaine Guy Mousset – Cotes du Rhone 2012. ~Refreshing, fruity, hints of strawberry, and a great price!
The second wine is from Spain. Eguren Tempranillo 2012 ~Light, refreshing, raspberry and red berry flavors, great for tapas! Great price too!
The third wine is from Argentina. Aberdeen Angus Rose 2012 ~ Light bodied, crisp, cherry and strawberry flavors, fresh and fruity, great with light salads.
While all three were equally delicious, my favorite is the wine from Spain, the Eguren Tempranillo 2012.
Rose’s have quickly become my favorite anytime wines. They are perfect when entertaining or just lounging around.
Try these wines and let me know what you think.

Do you buy wines for the holidays? If you do, you probably buy at your local wine and spirits store. Well, go online and check out the wineries in Napa.
I was fortunate to visit this amazing winery in Napa called Vittorio Sattui. It has the best wines and fresh foods. The actual winery and building are amazing. The place itself is the perfect backdrop for a wedding or special event. After several wine tastings in the area, this winery became my all time favorite.
Here are the wines on my holiday list. I do recommend the Gamay Rouge. It is the best if you love fruity wines like me.
Check out their website and place your order today. Wines do make great gifts. Buy a bottle for your friends and keep one or two for yourself.
